When investing is about you…

Friday, July 25th, 2008

When investing in someone is about you, is it really investing? I currently have a few interns/summerhelp. They are really awesome actually. In my past experience, interns were: A.K.A- slaves. However, this year is very different. As a leader at Elevation, I know that a big role of mine is to empower others to grow and lead as well. So… this years intern program was about empowerment. The greatest thing that I could do for our interns is create an environment where they can grow and in many cases be stretched into stronger leaders. For some that means teaching the importance of deadlines and not quitting. For others that means handing them responsibility for leading volunteers on Sunday mornings. Situations may change; however, the principle stays the same. Empowerment helps mold the person you are investing in. You will see leaders rising up when you empower them to do so! By the way check out my birthday buddy HERE (it’s been our birthday for about 3 weeks now!)

iPhone 2.0 Rocks

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

So… i was kinda ticked off when i first got my iphone a couple of months after they came out. I got mine when the price dropped the first time. I loved some of its features but overall didn’t really like the phone that much… well, welcome iPhone 2.0. With my phone now running Exchange (kerio), and apps such as REMOTE, hello iphone! You are now untouchable. Anyone considering the iPhone, it is now ready to be owned. No really… once you see its functionality and integration with your world, you too will fall in love.

Elevation is investing…

A couple of weeks ago, Elevation gave $100,000 to one of our partnerships through the form of scholarships and laptops! It was a really cool event and moment as Pastor Steven Furtick spoke to the girls who were graduating from the program. Here is a video we showed in our services to give Elevation a view of what happened.
